I really like when people like Egoraptor review things because they can be really harsh but they also get really excited about the things whatever they’re reviewing get right. This lengthy but spot-on review of Mega Man Classic vs. Mega Man X is absolutely perfect and makes me want to look for a copy of X again, because he’s right, the game’s pathos and manners of conveyance are flawless. Video games have gotten distressingly condescending in the new 3D console market, and it’s nice to remember that there was a time of subtlety and that such a philosophy is not impossible in the medium.
